Blakeny Peschel began his martial arts career at age 14, studying Koei-Kan Karate. Peschel then began to study Shukokai Karate with Shihan Tomoji Kidachi. Shihan Kidachi awarded Peschel his Shodan (1st black) in 2004.
  Afterwards, Peschel began to look for additional instruction in the martial arts. He met Master McGinnis and continued his training under him. Peschel also began to learn techniques from the Parker Kenpo system.
